Job Purpose:
The Group Human Resources Manager will lead and oversee HR strategy and operations for all business units, including plantations, mills, and corporate offices. The role ensures alignment of HR practices with business objectives, promotes a positive and productive work environment, and strengthens employee engagement, talent development, and compliance with labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
• Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and growth across plantations, mills, and corporate divisions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to HR teams across multiple locations, ensuring consistency and alignment with group policies.
• Advise senior management on organizational development, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Management
• Lead recruitment strategies for skilled, semi-skilled, and management personnel across plantations, mills, and corporate functions.
• Implement succession planning, career development, and leadership programs.
• Monitor workforce metrics and provide recommendations to enhance retention and performance.
Employee Relations & Engagement
• Foster a positive work culture through effective employee engagement initiatives.
• Address labor relations issues, grievances, and disputes in accordance with labor laws and company policies.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
Performance Management
• Design, implement, and oversee performance appraisal systems aligned with business objectives.
• Provide guidance to managers on setting KPIs, evaluating employee performance, and implementing performance improvement plans.
• Promote a culture of continuous feedback, recognition, and professional growth.
Compensation & Payroll Governance
• Develop, oversee, and govern compensation structures, benefits programs, and incentive schemes to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll administration across all business units, including plantations and mills.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of payroll and HR processes to mitigate risks and maintain governance standards.
• Benchmark remuneration and benefits against industry standards to maintain competitiveness.
HR Operations & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee HR policies, procedures, and documentation across all units.
• Implement HR systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance reporting capabilities.
Training & Development
• Identify training needs and implement programs to upskill employees, focusing on operational effectiveness, sustainability, and leadership development
• Promote continuous learning and development initiatives across all business units.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role, ideally in plantations, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.
• Experience in a public listed company or highly regulated environment is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations, performance management, compensation governance, and HR best practices in Malaysia
• Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and a diverse workforce.
