Job Descriptions
- Plan, lead, and execute internal audit programmes covering estate operations, including planting, harvesting, field maintenance (manuring, weeding, P&D), and processing activities to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and adherence to best management practices.
- Supervise and review audits related to the utilisation, serviceability, and maintenance of estate machinery, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee audits on inventory management, including raw materials, fertilizers, pesticides, and tools, ensuring accurate stock reporting, proper documentation, and minimal losses or wastage.
- Evaluate and verify construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring progress aligns with approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and specifications.
- Identify operational risks and internal control weaknesses, propose corrective actions, and follow up on audit findings until proper closure.
- Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to Management, highlighting key issues, root causes, risk impact, and recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
- Lead, mentor, and guide Internal Audit Officers/Assistants to ensure proper audit execution and continual improvement of the audit function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote compliance, accountability, and good governance across estates and mills.
- Undertake any other audit-related or management-assigned tasks as and when required.

Job Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Plantation Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or any relevant field.
- More 5 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position. Experience in oil palm estates, mills, inventory management, or construction audits is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of estate operations, agricultural best practices, inventory controls, vehicle & machinery management, and project/construction monitoring.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, and data analysis tools, including Excel for reporting, trend analysis, and audit analytics.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to management.
- Able to travel frequently to estates and mills; overnight stays may be required depending on audit location.
- High level of integrity, independence, and professionalism in carrying out audit responsibilities.
