Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engine Reconditioning & Machining Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating specialized engine machining equipment to produce high-quality, precision components. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring all work meets our stringent quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engine Cylinder Boring:
- Operate and maintain boring machines to enlarge cylinders to exact specifications.
2. Engine Surfacing:
- Utilize surfacing machines to ensure cylinder heads and blocks are perfectly flat and within required tolerances.
3. Valve Grinding:
- Perform valve grinding using specialized machinery to ensure optimal engine sealing and performance.
4. Connecting Rod Honing:
- Operate connecting rod honing machines to achieve precise internal dimensions and surface finishes.
5. Quality Control:
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect finished components and ensure adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
6. Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and a safe working environment.
7. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job cards, inspection checklists, and maintenance reports.

Job Requirements
Requirements & Skills:
1. Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role, specifically handling engine reconditioning machinery (boring, surfacing, valve grinding, honing) is required.
2. Technical Knowledge:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a deep understanding of engine mechanics and components.
3. Drawing Interpretation:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and service manuals.
4. Precision Focus:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
5.Problem-Solving:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address machining issues effectively.
6. Physical Stamina:
- Physical fitness and manual dexterity appropriate for a workshop environment.
7. Teamwork & Communication:
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
8. Safety Mindset:
- A strong commitment to following all safety protocols and workshop best practices.
9. Education:
